IPOH — The Bukit Temoh Water Treatment Plant is now running at 75% capacity after the restoration of the 825mm raw water pipeline from the Batu 7 intake, improving water supply to affected areas. The Perak Water Board (LAP) reported that while supply is gradually recovering, some areas may still experience low water pressure as the system stabilizes.
Water supply recovery has reached 90% in Tapah and Bidor, though Kampung Coldstream and Kuala Bikam continue to face low pressure. In Hilir Perak, recovery is at 55%, with ongoing disruptions in several villages.
Soil stabilization efforts in Taman Bunga Raya are 70% complete following a landslide, and new pipeline installations are still in the early stages. LAP urges consumers to conserve water as full recovery continues.
