KUALA LUMPUR — Comedian and radio host Ajak Shiro helped defuse a tense situation when he persuaded a machete-wielding man to step back from the edge of the 11th floor at Menara Lembaga Pertubuhan Peladang (LPP) on Friday morning.
The Kuala Lumpur Fire and Rescue Department received a call at 10:23 AM, with the man requesting to speak to Ajak, claiming to know him. When responders arrived at 10:32 AM, the man was standing at the edge, holding a machete. Ajak, who was contacted by the fire department, spoke to the man over the phone while on his way to the scene and was able to convince him to step down safely.
The man was handed over to the police for further action. Ajak later mentioned he didn't know the man personally but agreed to help after learning the individual wanted to speak with him.
