Silambarasan recently completed his role in Mani Ratnam’s Thaklai, marking his first collaboration with Kamal Haasan. The film, set for a June release, has generated immense excitement, especially since Simbu's last movie, Patu Thala, came out in 2023, making this his first film in two years. The pairing with Kamal Haasan has raised expectations for Thaklai, which is expected to elevate Simbu's career.

On February 3, Simbu celebrated his birthday by announcing updates on three upcoming films: STR 49 directed by Ramkumar Balakrishnan, his 50th film with director Desingu Periyasamy, and STR 51 with Aswath Marimuthu. Notably, Simbu revealed that he will produce his 50th film.

Regarding STR 51, Marimuthu, who is currently promoting his film Dragon, hinted that Simbu's character in STR 51 could be the "god of love," likening it to Manmadana, and confirmed it would be a romantic film. Fans can certainly look forward to this one as a special treat!
