LEVERKUSEN — Despite Bayer Leverkusen's 0-0 draw with Bayern Munich, coach Xabi Alonso remains confident in his team's title hopes, even though they are now eight points behind the league leaders.

Leverkusen dominated the match but failed to score against a Bayern side content with a draw to maintain their lead. Alonso praised his team's performance, saying they "did everything but score," and was impressed by their dominance over Bayern, despite the visitors' solid defense.

Alonso believes the season is far from over: "It wasn’t enough for the table, but the season is not over yet," he said, stressing that Leverkusen will keep fighting for the title and other competitions. He also highlighted their strong showing in the Champions League, where Leverkusen are the only German side in the top eight.

Bayern coach Vincent Kompany defended his team, acknowledging Leverkusen's pressure but noting Bayern's defensive resilience.
