KUALA LUMPUR — A 70-year-old woman, her four grandchildren, and their maid narrowly escaped unharmed after a trailer lorry dragged their Perodua Myvi into a grocery shop in Singkir, Yan, at around 5:20pm.

The Myvi, driven by the elderly woman, suddenly swerved into the path of the lorry, which was unable to stop in time. The lorry driver, a 54-year-old man, managed to brake, reducing the impact.

All six occupants of the car, including the children aged 5 to 11 and the maid, were sent to Sultan Abdul Halim Hospital but were conscious after the crash. The lorry driver was unharmed.

Police are investigating the incident under the Road Transport Act 1987.
