SIBU — A 44-year-old lorry driver, Muhie Nawan, was killed when his vehicle, loaded with logs, skidded off the road and crashed at Jalan Empangan Murum in Baram on Friday night.
The Belaga Fire and Rescue Department responded to the emergency call at 8:36pm. Upon arrival, they found the driver trapped under the pile of logs. Local workers used machinery to help remove the logs, allowing rescuers to recover the body.
The body was then handed over to the police, and the rescue operation concluded at 11:07pm.
