KANOWIT — The body of 29-year-old Lau King Hock, who went missing after dropping his wife at Kanowit Hospital on January 16, was found on Friday. His decomposed body was discovered by the public in the Rajang River, about 2.5km from the Kanowit Waterfront jetty, at around 4:50pm.
Kanowit police confirmed it was Lau after his family identified the body. His boat had been found drifting near the jetty earlier that day, prompting a search-and-rescue operation that was later called off on January 24 due to lack of new leads. The case has been classified as sudden death.
