KUCHING — A fire in Kampung Tabuan Dayak last night left 22 people, including four children, homeless after it destroyed four two-storey houses. The fire, reported at 9:01 pm, was swiftly tackled by fire teams from the Tabuan Jaya and Batu Lintang stations, using water from nearby hydrants.
The victims, from seven households, were temporarily sheltered at All Saint's Church Tabuan. The operation concluded at 11:27 pm. Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) is investigating the cause of the fire and assessing the damage.
