KUALA LUMPUR — A man cutting grass along the East Coast Expressway 2 near Bukit Besi, Dungun, Terengganu, discovered a hand grenade at around 12:50 pm today. Upon realizing what it was, he quickly alerted emergency services.
Police cordoned off a 300m stretch of the highway for safety, while a bomb disposal unit from the Terengganu Police Contingent Headquarters safely destroyed the grenade around 4 pm. Investigations are ongoing to determine how the grenade ended up on the highway and who is responsible.
