Veteran actress and producer Krishnaveni, aged 103, passed away in Hyderabad due to age-related health issues.
Krishnaveni, who began her career as a child artist, made significant contributions to both Telugu and Tamil cinema. She starred in the 1948 Tamil film Kamavalli and played a key role in shaping the industry.
In 1939, she married Megha Venkataramaiah Appa Rao Bahadur, and together, they founded Shobhanachala Studios in Chennai, producing several Telugu films. Krishnaveni is credited with introducing industry icons like N.T. Rama Rao, Anjali Devi, and Ghantasala.
Her passing has left a mark on the Telugu film industry, with many offering their condolences.
