Director A.R. Murugadoss is currently working on Madarasi, a film starring Sivakarthikeyan. Prior to starting Sikandar, Murugadoss had already begun this project, completing nearly 90% of the shooting before announcing the title. The team revealed the title on Sivakarthikeyan's birthday through a special video.

The movie features a stellar cast, including Vidyut Jammwal, Biju Menon, Rukmini Vasanth, Vikranth, and Shabeer. Anirudh is composing the music, and Sreekar Prasad is the editor. Produced by Sri Lakshmi Movies, the final phase of shooting is set to begin soon. Sivakarthikeyan is juggling the completion of Madarasi with his other project, Parashakti. The film is expected to release this Deepavali.
