SHAH ALAM — Police confirmed that stimulant drug intoxication caused the deaths of three out of four individuals at a New Year’s Eve concert in Bandar Sunway. The pathology reports for the three victims indicated this, while the report for the fourth victim is still pending.
Selangor police chief Datuk Hussein Omar Khan said 53 witness statements have been recorded, and the investigation is ongoing. The case will be referred to the coroner once completed. Another victim is in stable condition in the hospital and under close observation. Preliminary investigations suggest the victims may have consumed ecstasy.
