Shruti Haasan’s highly anticipated international debut, The Eye, a British psychological thriller, premiered at the 5th Wench Film Festival in India. Directed by Daphne Schmon, the film explores love, darkness, and self-discovery as Haasan’s character, Diana, embarks on a journey to scatter her late husband's ashes, only to become entangled in a haunting 'Evil Eye' ritual. Haasan, drawn to the script's emotional depth, praised the all-female creative team. Set in Greece, the film features striking cinematography and a gripping narrative, further solidifying Haasan’s reputation for complex roles. The Eye also stars Mark Rowley and British veterans Anna Savva and Linda Marlowe, with executive producers Melanie Dicks, Yu-Fai Suen, and Jess Hines.
