PETALING JAYA: Penang state civil servants will receive half a month’s salary, or at least RM1,000, as Hari Raya Aidilfitri aid.
Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow announced that Islamic religious school staff and private Chinese school teachers will receive RM300. A total of 7,066 civil servants are set to benefit from the RM7.81 million aid, which will be distributed from March 19.
Chow said the aid was a token of appreciation for civil servants' commitment to the state’s 2030 vision.
