PETALING JAYA: Malaysia’s top women’s doubles pair, Pearly Tan-M Thinaah, defeated South Korea’s Jeong Na Eun-Lee Yeon Woo 22-20, 11-21, 21-14 to reach the Orleans Masters quarter-finals.
Meanwhile, mixed doubles pair Chen Tang Jie-Toh Ee Wei were eliminated after losing 8-21, 17-21 to Indonesia’s RN Kusharjanto and GE Widjaja.
In men’s singles, Lee Zii Jia advanced to the quarter-finals with a 21-11, 21-17 win over India’s Srikanth Kidambi and will face Ireland’s Nhat Nguyen next.
