JAKARTA: Seven passengers aboard an Airfast plane were safely evacuated on Saturday morning at Bali's I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport after the aircraft experienced a technical issue, reported Xinhua, citing the airport manager.

The plane, which had flown from Benete in West Sumbawa, encountered technical problems upon landing at the airport at 9.26 am local time.

The airport's general manager, Ahmad Syaugi Shahab, said that the plane became stuck on the runway, prompting a temporary operational closure of all flights for safety reasons.

The runway was closed for approximately two hours to facilitate the evacuation and conduct necessary inspections.
