KOTA TINGGI: A Pakistani man, who did not have a valid driving licence, was killed when he crashed head-on into a trailer while attempting to overtake a vehicle at KM67.5 of Jalan Johor Baru-Mersing last night (March 8).
The 22-year-old, who possessed a valid passport, was pronounced dead at the scene following the 10.45pm accident. The trailer driver was unharmed.
District police chief Superintendent Yusof Othman said preliminary investigations revealed that the Pakistani man was heading towards Kota Tinggi from Mersing when he attempted to overtake another vehicle.
However, he failed to avoid the oncoming trailer and crashed directly into it.
