ALOR STAR: A security guard with a history of mental illness has been ordered to undergo psychiatric evaluation after being charged at the Magistrate's Court today with murdering his elderly mother.
Abd Rahman Harun, 43, nodded in understanding as the charge was read before Magistrate Nur Syifa Mohd Hamzah. No plea was recorded as the case falls under the High Court's jurisdiction.
He is accused of murdering Isah Salleh, 70, at their home in Kampung Bok-Bok, Derga, between 7am and 8am on March 2.
