JAKARTA: Indonesia has not yet decided on purchasing missiles from BrahMos Aerospace, a spokesman from the country's defense ministry confirmed. Indonesia is considering multiple missile systems, not just those from BrahMos.

BrahMos, a joint venture between India and Russia, was in advanced discussions with Indonesia in 2023 for a deal worth $200 million to $350 million. However, the Indonesian spokesman stated that no formal contract has been signed, and the decision is still under review.

Indonesia has been in talks with BrahMos for both shore-based and ship-mounted versions of its mid-range missiles. Other countries in Southeast Asia and the Middle East have also shown interest in BrahMos missiles.
