Chennai, March 11: The Madras High Court has granted an interim stay on the Enforcement Directorate’s (ED) decision to freeze filmmaker Shankar’s assets in connection with the ‘Enthiran’ movie controversy. The ED had previously frozen assets worth ₹11.10 crore linked to Shankar due to alleged financial irregularities. The court ruled that freezing assets was unjustified since a stay had already been imposed on a related private complaint. The interim order provides temporary relief to Shankar as the case progresses.
