Ismail Sabri Leaves MACC After Statement

PUTRAJAYA: Former Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob left the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) headquarters after giving his statement on Thursday, March 13. He was seen leaving under escort at 3:13 pm, but neither he nor his legal team spoke to the media.

Ismail Sabri arrived at the MACC office at 9:45 am, following an announcement by MACC Chief Commissioner Tan Sri Azam Baki, who confirmed that he would provide his statement. Azam also mentioned that 23 new witnesses would be questioned in the ongoing investigation into corruption and money laundering linked to the former PM. Ismail Sabri's medical leave certificate expired the day before.
