Gobind replaces Guan Eng as DAP chairman, Loke remains secretary-general

SHAH ALAM: DAP secretary-general Anthony Loke has retained his position in the party, but chairman Lim Guan Eng has been replaced by Gobind Singh Deo following the outcome of the party's Central Executive Committee (CEC) polls today.

Lim has instead been appointed as DAP adviser.

Gobind had polled the most number of votes from the 4,203 delegates from 1,650 branches in the 18th DAP National Congress, while Lim had managed to squeeze through, getting 1,719 votes to come in 26th in the 30-member central executive committee.
