Shock as woman finds dead baby in petrol station toilet bowl

SABAK BERNAM: A woman was shocked after discovering a baby's body in the toilet bowl of a Sungai Besar petrol station yesterday morning.

District police chief Superintendent Md Yusof Ahmad said the woman found the body at 11.15am and lodged a report.

"A medical officer confirmed that the baby had died," he said in a statement.

Preliminary investigations indicate that a pregnant woman, accompanied by another woman, had entered the toilet.

"They were seen travelling in a blue Perodua Bezza, but its registration number was unclear."

Yusof said police were searching for the women to assist in investigations.

Those with information on the case are urged to contact the investigating officer, Inspector Nor Aimi Lyana Mohd Khairani, at 018-251 0452.
