KUALA LUMPUR: The case involving a motorcyclist, 76, who was injured after being struck by a car while taking shelter under a flyover, will be referred to the deputy public prosecutor.

Assistant Commissioner Mohd Zamzuri Mohd Isa, head of the Kuala Lumpur Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department, said today that the investigation is ongoing.

"The driver was released on police bail, and the case has been referred to the deputy public prosecutor."

A video of the incident went viral.

The motorcyclist had stopped in the emergency lane under the flyover near the Sungai Besi toll plaza to seek shelter before he was struck from behind by a car.

He suffered severe head injuries and was taken to Kuala Lumpur Hospital.
