The investigation into a bullying case at MRSM Nibong Tebal has been completed and submitted to the Deputy Public Prosecutor. Penang police chief Datuk Hamzah Ahmad said statements were taken from students and staff, and medical reports obtained. The mid-2023 incident, believed to be a one-time occurrence, involved students allegedly fooling around. A viral video of the bullying sparked the probe, now under Section 323 of the Penal Code. Hamzah also reported a 44.8% drop in Penang’s crime index and success in resolving 5,400 drug-related cases, indicating stable public safety.
