The Malaysian women's football squad faces a tough challenge in the 2026 Asian Cup Qualifiers in Tajikistan, drawn in Group H with North Korea, Palestine, and the hosts. Coach Soleen Al-Zoubi acknowledges North Korea's strength as former U-20 and U-17 World Cup champions. Travel distance and time zone differences to Tajikistan are also cited as obstacles. To prepare, the team will participate in the National Women's League and aims for international friendlies during the FIFA window in June. Their qualifying matches are scheduled from June 23 to July 5, 2025.
