NEW DELHI: At least 11 people were killed and another 11 injured after a four-storey building collapsed in northeastern Delhi on Saturday.
The tragedy took place a little before 3am in the Mustafabad area of the sprawling Indian capital.
An official of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), whose rescue personnel were on the site, described it as a "pancake collapse" in which floors of a building fall one upon the other.
"We thought maybe something hit our house but when we looked out, the entire building next to us had turned to rubble," a neighbour was quoted as saying in a local media report.
