KUALA LUMPUR: Police are urging the driver, motorcyclist, and any witnesses involved in a hit-and-run incident on the Middle Ring Road 2 (MRR2) heading towards Ampang to come forward and assist with investigations.

Ampang Jaya police chief, Assistant Commissioner Mohd Azam Ismail, said the incident, which took place at 3.56pm on April 16, was captured on a dashboard camera and later uploaded to Facebook by a user named KL & Selangor Sweet Home's.

The footage shows a collision between a white Mazda 3 and a motorcycle.

"Preliminary investigations indicate that the crash occurred when the car abruptly switched from the right lane to the middle lane, striking the motorcycle, which was travelling in the middle lane.

"The cooperation of those involved is crucial to assist our investigation under the relevant traffic laws. Those with information may contact the police at 03-9274 0112."
