KUALA LUMPUR: An entrepreneur and social media influencer was fined by the Ampang Jaya Municipal Council (MPAJ) for selling wagyu pizza without a licence using a luxury multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) in Ampang on Monday.

In a Facebook post, the council said that action was taken because the business activity that was carried out without a licence had caused a public disturbance.

According to the council, a compound was issued under the MPAJ 2007 By-laws to ensure the safety and comfort of residents.

"MPAJ always supports initiatives to develop local entrepreneurs as drivers of the community's economy.

"However, we hope that all parties will comply with the regulations and laws set to safeguard communal harmony," the post said.

In the same post, the council also said that a meeting has been arranged with the relevant parties to discuss the best solutions to prevent the recurrence of unlicensed business activities.
