MANCHESTER — Kevin De Bruyne scored the decisive goal in Manchester City's 1-0 win over Wolves, helping his side climb to third place in the Premier League and boosting their Champions League hopes.

The Belgian captain netted in the 35th minute at the Etihad, capitalizing on a sharp assist from Jeremy Doku. The goal marked an emotional moment in De Bruyne’s penultimate home game before his expected departure at season's end.

City now sit on 64 points after 35 games, two ahead of Newcastle and four ahead of Chelsea and Nottingham Forest, who all have a game in hand.

Despite Wolves creating several dangerous chances, including shots that hit the post, City held firm. De Bruyne, 33, said he's proud of his performance and uncertain about his future, but affirmed he still has a lot to offer.

Wolves boss Vitor Pereira praised his team’s spirit, saying they showed courage and commitment, despite falling short on the scoreboard.
