Chennai — In the 2014 hit film Vedalam, Lakshmi Menon played Ajith’s sister, but the role was initially offered to popular TV anchor Divyadarshini (DD). Recently, DD revealed that she declined the role due to a leg surgery at the time and didn’t initially realize it was an Ajith-starrer. Only later did she find out it was a major opportunity she had missed.
