GAZA CITY — UN experts have issued a dire warning about the potential "annihilation" of Palestinians in Gaza, urging the world to act immediately to stop the ongoing bloodshed. This comes as Israeli airstrikes reportedly killed dozens, amid plans for a broader military offensive that could displace most of Gaza’s population.

More than 20 UN independent experts called on the global community to choose between passivity or intervention to prevent further mass casualties. They condemned the deepening humanitarian crisis, worsened by a two-month aid blockade.

World leaders, including France's President Emmanuel Macron and Spain's Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez, expressed alarm. Spain plans to table a UN resolution calling for an immediate halt to civilian killings and to ensure humanitarian access.
