KUALA LUMPUR — Six out of eight PKR division chiefs in Negeri Sembilan have thrown their support behind Nurul Izzah Anwar for the party's deputy president role ahead of the upcoming internal polls.

The leaders from Rembau, Jelebu, Seremban, Rasah, Kuala Pilah, and Tampin said in a joint statement that PKR needs a deputy without a government post—someone who can focus solely on party affairs. They praised Nurul Izzah’s extensive experience and her role in the Reformasi movement, calling her a capable leader who has weathered both political highs and lows.

They also emphasized that a leadership refresh would help prepare PKR for the next general election while allowing Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim to focus on governing the nation.
