After the success of Retro, Suriya is busy with his 45th film directed by RJ Balaji, with shooting and post-production progressing simultaneously. Buzz is that the film will be titled Vettai Karuppu, hinting at a storyline rooted in folklore and spirituality. The film reunites Suriya and Trisha on screen, alongside Swasika, Kaali Venkat, and Natty. Music is composed by Sai Abhiyankar and the project is backed by Dream Warrior Pictures, eyeing a release by year-end.
