LOS ANGELES — Boxing legend Manny Pacquiao is coming out of retirement at age 46 to challenge Mario Barrios for the WBC welterweight title on July 19 in Las Vegas, according to ESPN. Pacquiao, who last fought in 2021 and boasts 12 world titles across eight weight classes, has been cleared to fight by Nevada’s commission. Despite nearing Hall of Fame induction and facing a Senate election in the Philippines, Pacquiao is taking advantage of WBC rules that allow ex-champions to return for title bouts. Barrios, the current champ, holds a 29-2-1 record with 18 KOs. Pacquiao stands at 62-8-2 with 39 knockouts.
