Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS), led by Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor, is open to political cooperation with coalitions like Pakatan Harapan (PH) to ensure political stability and the well-being of Sabahans. Hajiji emphasized that any such decisions would be made by the GRS Supreme Council, considering the sentiments of the people. Following discussions with Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim on the importance of stability for Sabah's progress, Hajiji noted the existing cooperation between GRS and PH in the state government. This stance comes after PH and Barisan Nasional (BN) announced an election pact for the upcoming Sabah polls, which initially prompted GRS to consider going solo. Hajiji stressed the need to understand and respect the aspirations of Sabahans in any political cooperation to ensure harmonious and effective progress, with all election decisions ultimately resting with the GRS Supreme Council.
