At the 2024 National Sports Awards, Aaron Chia and Soh Wooi Yik won the Sportsman of the Year award for the second time, cementing their legacy as world champion badminton doubles. Meanwhile, Nor Farah Ain Abdullah made history by becoming the first female lawn bowler to win the Sportswoman of the Year title. Other notable winners included Bonnie Bunyau Gustin, who took home the National Paralympic Athlete award for the third time, and Hasmunirah Maliki, named National Paralympic Female Athlete.
