Coco Gauff stormed into the Italian Open quarter-finals with a dominant 6-1, 6-2 win over Emma Raducanu, becoming the youngest player to reach four WTA 1000 clay-court quarter-finals. The 21-year-old world No. 3 has won 8 of her last 9 clay matches, only falling to Aryna Sabalenka in the Madrid final. Gauff said she’s feeling more confident on clay and is refining her footwork as she eyes a strong run at the upcoming French Open. She next faces world No. 7 Mirra Andreeva in the Rome quarters.
