Real Madrid prevented Barcelona from clinching the La Liga title on Wednesday with a dramatic 2-1 victory over Real Mallorca, courtesy of a late winner from Jacobo Ramon in the 95th minute. Mallorca had taken an early lead through Martin Valjent, but Kylian Mbappe equalized for an injury-hit Real Madrid in the second half. Despite Barcelona needing just a win against Espanyol on Thursday to secure the championship, Madrid's fighting spirit, praised by departing coach Carlo Ancelotti, reduced the gap to four points. Ancelotti highlighted his team's resilience despite numerous injuries. While Mallorca put up a strong fight, hoping for European qualification, Madrid's late surge, including impressive performances from young players like Endrick and goalscorer Jacobo, delayed Barcelona's title celebrations. Goalkeepers Thibaut Courtois and Leo Roman both had standout games.
