Santhanam’s latest film DD Next Level, produced by his friend Arya, released yesterday to mostly positive reviews. While it continues the Dhilluku Dhuddu franchise vibe, it hasn’t quite matched the reception of previous installments. Still, it’s being called a fun one-time watch.The film features a strong ensemble including Selvaraghavan, Gautham Menon, Nizhalgal Ravi, Motta Rajendran, Kasthuri, and Yashika Anand — with Rajendran’s performance being a standout.The film team surprised fans by celebrating with a cake on day one itself, thanks to great audience response in theatres. DD Next Level grossed ₹2.85 crore on its opening day. With the summer holidays and weekend ahead, collections are expected to rise.Santhanam’s film released alongside Soori’s Maman, which also earned positive reviews.
