On Friday night (May 16), police inspected 1,300 motorcycles across key Kuala Lumpur locations under Ops Samseng Jalanan. The operation, led by KL Traffic Enforcement, aimed to reduce accidents and tackle loud, modified bikes disturbing residents.
Starting at 9 PM and ending at 4:30 AM, the operation covered areas including Jalan Tun Razak, Jalan Ampang, Bukit Bintang, and DUKE Highway. Violations found included illegal modifications, expired road tax, and unlicensed driving. Some riders even drove against traffic to escape roadblocks.
In total, police issued 1,006 summonses, JPJ issued 206 more, and authorities seized 55 motorcycles and one car.
