A 25-year-old motorcyclist died in a collision with a car at KM 24.1 on the Johor Baru–Pontian road yesterday morning.
The accident happened around 11:20 a.m. when a Perodua Myvi exited a slip road, and the motorcyclist riding a Honda RS hit the car’s back-left side. The rider was thrown onto the road, and his bike ended up in a nearby river.
He was rushed to Hospital Sultanah Aminah but was pronounced dead. Police have launched an investigation for reckless and dangerous driving causing death and are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
