SAN JOSÉ — Costa Rican prison guards intercepted a cat attempting to smuggle over 230g of marijuana and 67g of crack cocaine into a prison in Pococí. The black-and-white feline had the drugs taped to its body and was caught as it leapt over the prison fence at night. A video released by the justice ministry shows a guard retrieving the cat and removing the packages. Authorities praised the swift action that stopped the drugs from reaching inmates.
