GEORGE TOWN — The Penang undersea tunnel project remains a key solution to reducing traffic congestion on the first Penang bridge, according to state exco Zairil Khir Johari. He said the tunnel would help divert vehicles and ease pressure on nearby roads. A new design is being developed as part of efforts to move the third link project forward, which the state government still sees as viable and necessary.
