Director Prashanth Pandiyaraj made his debut with the film Enakku Inna Pera Irukku, which was a failure. However, he bounced back with the successful web series Vilangal. Riding on that success, his latest film Maanan, featuring Suri in the lead, has received an overwhelming response since its release. The emotional drama, which also stars Aishwarya Lakshmi, Swasika, and Rajkiran, has performed well at the box office. In its first 6 days, Maanan has grossed ₹19 crores globally.
