Superstar Rajinikanth, who recently wrapped up Coolie with director Lokesh Kanagaraj, is now working on Jailer 2 directed by Nelson Dilipkumar. Like the first part, stars like Shiva Rajkumar and Mohanlal are expected to appear in cameo roles. A new buzz suggests that comedian-turned-hero Santhanam might join the cast of Jailer 2, marking his reunion with Rajini after 11 years. Recently, Santhanam returned to comedy for STR's STR 48, and now he’s reportedly making a comeback in Rajini's film too. However, an official confirmation is still awaited.
