SINGAPORE — Singapore Prime Minister Lawrence Wong praised Malaysia for its energetic and successful chairmanship of the 46th Asean Summit.
In a Facebook post, Wong said he congratulated Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim during their meeting on the summit sidelines, reaffirming Singapore’s commitment to working closely with Malaysia on advancing Asean integration.
He also expressed anticipation for Anwar’s upcoming Special Address at the Shangri-La Dialogue in Singapore from May 30 to June 1.
Separately, Wong had a productive discussion with Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto on regional developments, highlighting the need for a strong and united Asean amidst global uncertainties, and reaffirmed Singapore-Indonesia ties as a stabilising force in the region.
