A 75-year-old company director in Perak lost over RM1.47 million in an online trading scam after being offered a partnership by an unidentified woman. The scam involved downloading an app, SHV Shop, and making multiple deposits into several bank accounts between April 17 and May 16, with the promise of a 30% commission. The victim received no returns and filed a police report on May 25. The case is under investigation for cheating under Section 420 of the Penal Code.
