Asian champions Aaron Chia-Soh Wooi Yik face a tough challenge in the Singapore Open’s second round, taking on Japan’s Takuro Hoki-Yugo Kobayashi. The Malaysian duo won their opening match 21-19, 24-22 but have a poor 2-9 record against Hoki-Kobayashi. Aaron admitted the strain of back-to-back tournaments is taking a toll, but they are focused on maintaining momentum. Wan Arif Wan Junaidi-Yap Roy King advanced after defeating France's Eloi Adam-Leo Rossi, and will meet Goh Sze Fei-Nur Izzuddin Rumsani next. Meanwhile, Choong Hon Jian-Mohd Haikal Nazri were eliminated by India’s Rankireddy-Shetty.
