A man and his nine-year-old daughter lost their lives after the four-wheel-drive vehicle they were travelling in plunged into a ravine along Jalan Labis-Segamat near Kampung Kwongsai.His wife, 32, and their three other children — two girls and a boy aged two, four, and 11 — were injured in the crash, which occurred at 6.47pm yesterday.

Fire and Rescue Department operations commander Zainal Abidin Che Deraman said the man and his daughter, were confirmed dead at the scene by medical personnel.They were found pinned beneath the overturned four-wheel-drive.The deceased were identified as Mohd Fitri Md Said, 39, his daughter Nurin Insyirah.The vehicle is believed to have veered off the road before tumbling into the ravine.
